How We Began

In September of 2022, Tim and Rhonda Williams heard about a Belgian draft horse who had been saved from a kill pen by another organization.  Big Mack was in really bad shape, emaciated and exhausted. His kind and gentle nature, despite his poor physical condition, won their hearts. As Rhonda shared Mack's story, he captured the hearts of thousands of people who began to follow his story.

Rhonda and Tim showered Mack with love and attention and began the process of rehabilitation.  He thrived with proper feeding and medical attention, and for almost three years he was the guardian amd protector of his herd.

Unfortunately, the hard treatment he had endured during his earlier life as an Amish work horse took too great a toll.  On June 26, 2025, Mack died at Legacy Ranch of natlural causes brought about by his medical challenges.  He is gone much too soon but he will never be forgotten.
